Windows 7 is a supported operating system, but some users may be confused if they see an error message regarding “Critical Issues” with Miracast requiring Windows 8.1 or higher.
Miracast is the streaming protocol used by Android and Windows devices. AirServer’s Miracast receiving feature is only supported on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 systems that meet all the requirements for Miracast functionality.
Windows 7 users would have to disable the Miracast protocol from the installer and only install the AirPlay protocol. AirPlay is the streaming protocol used by Mac and iOS devices. Installing only the AirPlay protocol will allow you to mirror your devices onto your Windows 7 computer using an iOS device or the AirServer Connect application available both for Android and iOS.
