After updating to 2.5, I am unable to see the hotspot or use Miracast

When version 2.5 of the AirServer Connect 4K UHD software was released, we switched the Wi-Fi adapter to also function on 5GHz channels, rather than just 2.4GHz. The available Wi-Fi channels on the 5GHz band will vary with country regulations. If you are located in an area that does not allow the use of lower 5GHz bands (channels 36-48) for the hotspot but allows access to the higher frequency bands (149-161), it is likely the wireless adapter switched to those frequency bands.

We have noticed that some devices do not support these higher frequency bands which prevents them from seeing the wireless adapter in AirServer Connect 4K UHD. To avoid this problem, we have added a toggle button in the Remote Management interface that allows you to disable these bands.


To prevent the adapter from functioning on the higher frequency bands, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you have enabled Remote Management from the on-screen menu of AirServer Connect
2. Access remote management by browsing to http://(ipadressofthedevice) and log in
3. Go to the Built-In Guest Hotspot tab
4. Enable the toggle for "Restrict Upper 5GHz Channels (149-161)" and reboot the device
