It's possible to mirror from Windows 10 using the Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge. This can be particularly useful if your device does not support Miracast (eg. desktop computers without supported Wi-Fi adapters). Microsoft Edge uses Google Cast for screen mirroring.

Casting from Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open up Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click the three dots up in the right corner.
  3. Click on "More tools"
  4. Click "Cast media to device" and then select AirServer. When clicking this for the first time, it will install a plugin for Microsoft Edge which is required for casting. After installation, you will be required to restart Edge.
  5. In the same menu, you can press Sources to select whether you want to mirror a tab or your whole desktop.

Please note that this functionality is only available on the newer Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge.

Alternatively, it's also possible to mirror via Google Chrome.
