While AirServer does support Google Cast screen mirroring, AirServer does not support content casting from within applications (typically accessible by pressing the Chromecast button). Because of this, AirServer software versions will not show up as a casting destination when pressing the Cast icon within apps such as for example, YouTube & Facebook. In some cases AirServer may still appear in the list, but casting will not work.

For our AirServer Connect devices, we have added full support for casting from within apps using the Google Cast icon. This enables Chromecast-like behavior and allows you to cast directly from apps such as YouTube, Facebook, Google TV, Spotify, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and many more
