If you are using AirServer in a home network, in almost all network setups, you do not need to use the AirServer Connect app on the device you want to mirror.

AirServer Connect is a network helper application that simplifies the mirroring process on more complex networks, for example in schools and corporate networks, and is available in the iOS App Store & Google Play Store. 

You can use it to easily find and connect to AirServer by scanning a QR code. Detailed instructions on how to use it can be found in our tutorial section.
