There are reports from our customers that Windows computers can become unresponsive when the user accesses the Project menu (Win + K) to connect to AirServer or other Miracast receivers after recent Windows updates.


The issue can be replicated by disconnecting from the receiver side just after the first connection is achieved and then rapidly trying to reconnect.


A fix was made available in Windows update KB4579311, which was released on October 14th 2020. This update is available through Windows Update.

 

The issue occurs on all Windows 10 installations that have the June 9th 2020 cumulative update installed.
