We have identified a problem with certain older wireless adapters (eg. Marvell AVASTAR 350N which is used in Microsoft Surface Pro 1 and 2) which prevents you from seeing AirServer as a Miracast destination when connected to the hotspot. This is a bug which is caused by a driver issue. As these adapters are no longer supported, this issue will likely not be fixed.

It is, however, possible to:

  1. Mirror ad-hoc to AirServer by not using the hotspot and mirroring directly (Windows Key + K)
  2. Mirror over infrastructure by connecting the device to the same WiFi network as AirServer Connect and then trying to mirror (Windows Key + K)
