Introduction

There are a few methods available to reset the settings of AirServer Connect hardware. The available methods depend on the version of AirServer Connect firmware and User Interface.

New User Interface:

In the new User Interface introducted with the AirServer Connect 2 the standard method to reset the device is to log into Device Management and select Reset All Settings from the Device Management section.

If access to Device Management is lost, it is also possible to reset the password during startup:

  1. Make sure to power off AirServer Connect first.
  2. Connect a USB keyboard.
  3. Power on AirServer Connect and keep pressing R until a boot menu appears.
  4. Choose "Internet Recovery and Reset Settings".

Classic User Interface:

In the Classic interface of the AirServer Connect 4K UHD, if you have access to the Remote Management or on-screen settings, it is possible to reset your device's settings by following the steps below:

Using On-screen menu:
  1. Connect a USB keyboard to AirServer Connect.
  2. Open the menu by pressing ENTER when the menu button is selected (bottom left). If that is not selected, use TAB to select it.
  3. Go to Tools.
  4. Choose Reset All Settings and confirm with ENTER.
  5. Your device will restart with the default settings.

From Remote Management:
  1. Go to Remote Management.
  2. Select Tools in the menu on the left.
  3. Choose "Reset All Settings" and confirm.
  4. Your device will restart with the default settings. Please note that you will have to re-enable Remote Management via the on-screen UI to access it again.

If you have lost access to Remote Management and disabled the on-screen settings as well, it is possible to reset your device's settings by following the steps below:

  1. Make sure to power off AirServer Connect first.
  2. Connect a USB keyboard.
  3. Power on AirServer Connect and keep pressing R until a boot menu appears.
